Thieves Like Us Return With Fourth Album

'Bleed Bleed Bleed' released March 20th

Thieves Like Us are set to release their new album ‘Bleed Bleed Bleed’ on March 20th.

Split between Berlin and Paris, Thieves Like Us are an infectious, contagious proposition. The band’s name – lifted from a New Order classic – hints at a background in synth pop, while their production also nods towards shoegaze, Cold Wave and other neglected genres.

Completing work on their fourth studio album, Thieves Like Us have settled in their new home at Captured Tracks. ‘Bleed Bleed Bleed’ will be released on March 20th, and finds the group adjusting to the presence of female vocalist Martine Duverglas.

There’s little to go on thus far, although Thieves Like Us have been kind enough to stream lead cut ‘Marie Marie’. Borrowing its name from a TS Eliot line – or are we reading too much into this? – the glistening production has a cold edge, with Martine Duverglas adding some feminine harmonies which verge on heavenly dream pop.
