A song from brand new rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures has leaked onto the internet.
Supergroups seem to be the rock star trend of the moment. After Jack White launched The Dead Weather it seems that superstar musicians have begun pooling their talent, with new groups emerging all the time.
Them Crooked Vultures is the name given to the project featuring Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones. A power trio to match any power trio, the cast alone is mouth watering.
News of the band’s existence came from an unlikely source – Josh Homme’s wife Brody Dalle. In an interview the singer revealed her husband had been working on new material, which she praised highly.
Revealing their existence to the world, Them Crooked Vultures have now played a grand total of two show. However in that time one fan has managed to post an entire song by the group online.
The song is titled ‘Dead End Friends’ and while the sound quality isn’t up to much it is the first signs of the band’s artistic direction. A Rolling Stone report claims the show took place in Amsterdam, with the song featuring some heavy guitar work from Homme.
Following this Them Crooked Vultures have posted a snippet of their new track ‘Nobody Loves Us and Neither Do I’ on their Twitter. The video also contains footage of the band playing Scrabble, as you do if you are three rock legends with time to kill.
