The Who’s Roger Daltrey x Wilko Johnson Record New Album

Collaboration in the works...

Rhythm and blues is the hidden thread which runs through rock music – after all, without those R&B pioneers the Rolling Stones wouldn't even have a name.

The Who's Roger Daltrey knows a thing or two about R&B. So, too, does Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson, and a new studio project brings the pair together.

In a short announcement, Roger Daltrey and Wilko Johnson have confirmed the release of joint album 'Going Back Home'. Due to be released on March 10th, the album contains a flurry of tracks from Johnson's back catalogue alongside a rendition of Bob Dylan's oft-overlooked track 'Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window'.

In addition to this, Roger Daltrey and Wilko Johnson have confirmed details of a one off show. Taking place on February 25th at London venue Shepherd's Bush Empire, tickets go on sale this Friday (January 24th).

Clash spoke to Wilko Johnson last year, probing the guitarist about his musical memories – check out that feature HERE.

'Going Back Home' will be released on March 10th. Tracklisting:
