The Weeknd has shared an emotional message with fans, thanking them for listening to his music.
We're not sure, but Clash reckons Abel Tesfaye is a pretty emotional guy. Listening to The Weeknd, you're left with the impression that this person is someone has – to borrow a phrase coined in recognition of Nick Drake – a skin too few.
Of course, we can't be certain. The Weeknd don't do interviews, and Abel Tesfaye has only just begun to make live appearances. Last night, though, the producer seemed to confirm our initial impressions by sharing a new message.
Typed out in caps, it thanks fans for listening to his music and reveals a little about the shoot for the recent 'Rolling Stone' video.

I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR LISTENING AND BEING PATIENT FOR AS LONG AS YOU HAVE. NO MATTER WHAT AN ARTIST'S EGO CLOUDS THEM TO BELIEVE, YOU ARE THE REASON WHY I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DO WHAT I LOVE TO DO AND THAT IS TO ENTERTAIN YOU. MY JOURNEY FOR INSPIRATION MAY SEEM LIKE MASOCHISM TO OTHERS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN THE TASK TO MAKE ART, BUT BEST BELIEVE IT BRINGS ME NOTHING BUT JOY… YOU WILL CONTINUE TO GET WHAT YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH, AND I WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU ASK FOR. I'LL NEVER MAKE YOU WAIT AGAIN.
