Spectral R&B producer The Weeknd has confirmed plans for a one off London show.
Have hidden by shadow and mist, The Weeknd released three staggering mixtapes in the space of just 12 months. Re-tooling R&B as the soundtrack to a disintegrating world, the project was initially thought to be studio bound.
Recruiting a full band set up, Abel Tesfaye decided to take The Weeknd out on the road. Playing a handful of full live shows, the project is now focussing its sights on some European performances this summer.
Hitting the UK, The Weeknd will perform a one off show at London’s Wilton Hall on June 7th. Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning (May 28th) and promptly sold out within just a few minutes.
Disappointed fans will be offered one more opportunity to catch the R&B project in a live setting: The Weeknd have been added to the line up of Wireless.
Here’s ‘Wicked Games’.
