New York skuzz rockers The Walkmen could come knocking on your door, after the band advertised for brass players to join them onstage at a recent gig.
The band emerged from the ashes of legendary Big Apple group Jonathan Fire*Eater, and are best known for indie disco favourite ‘The Rat’. New album ‘You And Me’ was released just recently, and the demands of the new material mean that the band are on the hunt for extra musicians.
Applicants should email [email protected] with their contact information, and which instrument they play. Those chosen will attend a soundcheck at the London ULU venue, where they will be provided with MP3s of the songs as well as sheet music.
Although the extra musicians are only needed for the London date, the band are set to commence a full UK tour taking in dates in Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow.
