The View have confirmed details of a free download ahead of their forthcoming UK tour.
Midway through T In The Park, the appeal of The View suddenly became apparent. Taking the festival up a gear, the Dundee group seemed to be the only people on the bill who would buy a ticket if they weren’t playing.
A mirror reflection of their audience, The View write songs about growing up on a council estate in a small town because that’s what their life is like. Rewarded with a rabid following, the band have now completed their third album.
Renowned producer Youth helmed the sessions, adding something different to the mixture. The View worked on the album in Liverpool, with some of the recording also taking place in London.
Due to be released in Spring, The View’s new album has yet to be given a title. However as a special gift to fans the band are set to make a track available for free from their now re-vamped website.
‘Sunday’ will be available as a free download from November 1st, giving a small indication of what fans can expect from their third album.
Meanwhile, the countdown begins towards the band’s new tour. The View open the tour in Aberdeen on November 15th, before heading around the country. Using smaller venues, the band aim to explore their new material in an intimate setting.
Ending in Dunfermline on December 18th, the tour sees The View visit every corner of the British isles. Tickets are on sale now, with some dates already close to selling out!
