Scots indie upstarts The View have begged Oasis to give them a slot on their upcoming tour in a new video which has appeared on the internet.
Oasis have had no luck touring recently. After being assaulted in Toronto, the band spent time on the sidelines as guitarist Noel Gallagher recovered from severe bruising.
Just when the group thought they were back on track Oasis toured South East Asia, before discovering that apparently the Chinese authorities aren’t that keen on the band.
In the new video The View cover Oasis’ classic track ‘Listen Up’. The group are joined by producer Owen Morris and use a host of bizarre alter egos.
The cover version uses lots of keyboards, and its lo-fi nature means that it sounds, bizarrely enough, like Casiotone For The Painfully Alone. At the end of the video a message appears thanking the Gallaghers before stating “Give us a support slot. please.”
The View have also released another video showing the group covering the Oasis track ‘Talk Tonight’.
