The Vaccines have shared the addictive title track from their upcoming LP 'Back In Love City'.
British indie rock band The Vaccines have shared their upbeat, guitar riff-filled single ‘Back in Love City’. It’s the title track from their upcoming LP and follows the release of the LP’s first single, ‘Headphones Baby’.
‘Back In Love City’ features songs set in the fictional Love City and will be released on September 10th. With 13 tracks, it’s the longest record the band have released.
The idea came about when frontman Justin Young moved to Los Angeles in a house swap. “I literally swapped lives with a stranger. I lived in in house and drove his car while he lived in mine, but we’d never met and had no previous connections,” he says.
The concept of Love City is all about connection. Young explains: “In some obvious ways we’re more connected than ever,” Young explains. “But we’re also more polarised than we’ve been for 100 years and the world is getting colder. What if there was a place where love and other emotions had run dry - but you could go to Love City to get them?”
The British five-piece shot to success with their 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? which was recently re-released as a limited-edition 10 year anniversary vinyl.
Tune in now.
