The Strongroom Studios Launch Strongroom FM

New station announced

London based organisation The Strongroom Studios are set to launch Strongroom FM later this month.

East London creative hub The Strongroom Studios are starting 2012 in ambitious fashion. Not content with running a successful studio and bar complex, the group are planning to launch their own radio station.

Strongroom FM will be broadcast FM (in the London area) and on Freeview, with transmissions due to start on February 1st. Pulling together a stellar line up for the launch night, the station will open with a show hosted by Ross Allen.

Confirmed for the opening night are Coldcut, Raf Daddy (The 2 Bears), James Priestley (Secret Sundaze), Commix and more.

Looking ahead, Strongroom FM have assembled a series of guest presenters which cut across music, art, fashion and more.

Ninja Tune have assembled a team of DJs, while 1234 Festival will be represented. Elsewhere, Orange Dot Gallery, Pure Evil Gallery, Product 250 and Black Rat Projects Gallery will drop by to take control of the airwaves.

Clash Magazine couldn’t resist an opportunity like this right on our doorstep, and the team are busy rifling through their record collections for a special show of their own.
