Third Heaton Park show added

The Stone Roses have broken all box office records, selling out their Heaton Park shows in a matter of minutes.

One of the most influential acts of their generation, The Stone Roses have a lasting romantic allure that other groups just can’t reach. The band’s iconography, their seminal output have helped to build a mythology which stretches beyond their slim back catalogue.

Announcing their return earlier this week, The Stone Roses announced two shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Commenting on the re-union, Ian Brown said: “Something magical happens when us four are in the room together, you can’t put your finger on it.”

Tickets for the two shows went on sale this morning (October 21st) selling out within minutes. Priced at £55 each, the twin concerts sold out in just 14 minutes as fans around the globe scrambled to grab their ticket.

The Stone Roses swiftly announced a third show at Heaton Park for July 1st 2012, with tickets then going on sale at 10am. With phone lines tumbling all over the country, fans broke all records in the rush to gain tickets.

Selling out within minutes, The Stone Roses broke all box office records. In total, the band sold some 220,000 tickets in just 68 minutes with fans set to descend on Manchester from all over the world.

Commenting on the overwhelming demand Ian Brown said: “We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air.”
