The Smile Announce Album New ‘Cutouts’

It's their second album in a year...

The Smile will release new album ‘Cutouts’ on October 4th.

The band – Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner – made their debut with magnetic 2022 album ‘A Light For Attracting Attention’. Continually creative, the trio dropped new material into their live sets, with two concert documents hitting streaming services as a result.

Second album ‘Wall of Eyes’ was released back in January, and it seems a third LP was recorded at the same time. Out on October 4th, ‘Cutouts’ is produced by Sam Petts-Davies, with string arrangements by the London Contemporary Orchestra.

The album art – which you can find below – was painted during the recording process by Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke. Fans will note that Stanley Donwood recently created the art for limited edition 12 inch release ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ and ‘The Slip’, which was released a few weeks ago on XL Recordings.

Featuring 10 tracks, The Smile have shared two new songs from ‘Cutouts’ – ‘Foreign Spies’ and ‘Zero Sum’.
