Indie risers The Rills have shared their debut album ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ in full.
A potent live force, the band emerged from lockdown writing sessions to take on an identity of their own. Gathering a dogged cult following, a string of ace singles have tied up their partnership with Nice Swan Recordings, one of the best independent imprints out there.
Debut album ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ is out now, and it’s a real moment of maturation for the trio. Blending their uplifting indie rock aspects with a real streak of romanticism, The Rills offer up something warming for those Autumnal chills.
“We’re romantics at heart,” offers The Rills bassist Callum Warner-Webb. “When we were recording this album, we watched a lot of romance films like La La Land. They leave you with that question at the end: was it worth it? You have your dreams, but was it worth it to lose so much of yourself?”
Out now, ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ allows you to judge for yourself. Check out The Rills at a string of November shows, including London’s Rough Trade East tonight (November 1st).
Tune in now.
