Resplendent in mohair suits and button down suits, indie-Mod types The Rifles are set to return on November 10th with a new EP, it has been announced.
The London based band broke through a little over two years ago, gathering a fanbase that includes both Noel Gallagher and Mike Skinner. Their spiky new wave guitars weaved together a musical basket to carry some incredibly biting and acerbic lyrics, detailing life in Britain’s streets.
The new EP comes ahead of the band’s second album ‘Great Escape’ – due out in January 2009 it is set to win hearts and minds across the nation. The four track EP is headed up with album’s stunning title track, as well as the beer soaked romantic ode that is ‘I Could Never Lie’.
