The Rhythm Method Share Jaunty Ode ‘Dean Martin’

A salute to the Rat Pack maestro...

London duo The Rhythm Method return with country-tinged new single ‘Dean Martin’.

The band’s incoming album ‘Peachy’ – dubbed a “proper” album by its makers – is out on March 8th, produced by Bill Ryder-Jones. A flurry of previews are hitting DSPs, including their latest single, a jaunty ode to a Rat Pack king.

Singer, comedian, actor, and timeless icon of cool, ‘Dean Martin’ is the subject of their new single. The lyrics reference some of his most-regarded Western parts, with the actor oozing machismo on-screen.

The Rhythm Method then contrast this with a humdrum British night out, the divide between the glamour of the Silver Screen and the mundanity of everyday life becoming striking. There’s a slight Morricone tinge to the song, while Bill Ryder-Jones steps in on slide.

The duo comment…

Talking about the tour life, nighttime on the great British high street. A night out in a place you don’t really know, following last orders all the way to the casino. In every UK karaoke pub there’s always a bloke who gets up and sings some random country caper song you’ve never heard before. This is our attempt. Bill Ryder-Jones plays the slide guitar. Ennio Morricone played nothingYee-haw

Tune in now.
