The Prodigy Back Cage Against The Machine

As '4:33' gains momentum

The Prodigy are the latest band to come out in support of the Cage Against The Machine campaign to get a recording of John Cale’s ‘4:33’ to the Christmas number one spot as a protest against the X Factor talent show.

In a posting on their site, the band revealed the following message:

“We are supporting the Cage Against The Machine single and want to rally up the people who don’t want their airwaves polluted over Xmas by the Cowell machine so this is a beautiful fuk u and will not only give ur ears a rest it is a good charity … yeah you have an off button on your radio but that is the easy way out !. just imagine the dj having to say, ‘and this years Xmas number one is’ …….. whatever noise is happening around you for 4 minutes 33 ..

Liam, Keef, Maxim – The Prodigy”

A video of the recording of the track has also been released, capturing the all-star cast doing nothing for the song’s duration (as intended). Watch it below.
