Shane McGowan and his ,ahem, merry men The Pogues have announced their sixth Christmas Tour.
The influential celtic punks will play a double whammy at London’s Brixton Academy at the end of their tour (18/19th Dec), and also throughout the UK in the lead-up to these big final shows. The band may not have released an album in years, but the demand for their shows has also seen them playing numerous Festivals in ’08.
The band look set to be forever linked to the festive period, with ‘A Fairytale In New York’ having been released more times than McGowan’s comrade Pete Doherty. Suitably, then, they have decided to return again for their sixth tour in December, the details of which are below.
