On May 5th 2013, The National took part in an intriguing performance.
As part of MoMA PS1's Sunday Sessions, the band agreed to collaborate with Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson on A Lot of Sorrow.
A durational performance, The National played their three-minute, twenty-five second song 'Sorrow' live – repeatedly and without breaks – for six hours.
Now the full audio from this gig will be given an official release by 4AD as 'A Lot Of Sorrow'.
The limited edition 1,500 run release will comprise nine pieces of clear vinyl in clear sleeves held in a translucent screen-printed box.
With all profits due to be donated to Parters In Health, you can pick up 'A Lot Of Sorrow' from June 22nd.
