Leeds dance-rock titans The Music are set to release a new single with “The Spike” set to be released on August 11th, it has been announced.
The Music recently returned with their first studio album in four years with the much-celebrated “Strength In Numbers”. Released in June, the album is a return to form by the band who have struggled to recreate their blistering live show in a studio environment. Produced by Flood and Paul Hartnoll, the album has a genuine dance pedigree and saw the group forsake thier NOrthern base to record in London’s The Townhouse studio.
The Music have just completed their unusual Four Cities tour, and are part way through their next UK jaunt. Many of the dates are sold out, as fans scramble to catch a glimpse of the returning psychedelic heroes.
“The Spike” is released on August 11th on CD, 7 inch and download, featuring plenty of unreleased material and re-mixes.
