The Mars Volta Members Form New Group With Flea

It's called... Antemasque.

When The Mars Volta dissolved last year, there seemed to be little hope of reconciliation between Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López.

Rodríguez-López kicked off a new album with Bosnian Rainbows, leading Bixler-Zavala to issue a statement comparing him to a "cheating wife".

Since then, though, the pair appear to have settled their differences. Heading back into the studio, the musicians have opted to form new group Antemasque.

The two are working with former Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, with Volcom suggesting that new material is incoming.

Antemasque have placed a handful of studio clips online, allowing fans an insight into their creative process.
