The Kooks’ frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed in a new interview that he is to star in a new American horror movie, it is reported.
The Kooks released their second album ‘Konk’ earlier this year, to great acclaim from their fans. Pritchard of course, attended the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology and has some acting experience.
The Kooks’ singer Luke Pritchard is currently in talks with an un-named female director to appear in a new horror movie. “The new album won’t be out until the middle of next year as I’ve got a few things I want to work on first,” he told British tabloid The Sun.
Of the film itself, Pritchard said “it’s a scary horror B type film. It’s going to be really cheesy but fucked up with a bit of Paris Texas thrown in. It sounds great. I think it will be fun to try out something a bit different.”
The band found huge success with their debut album, and this success is apparently beginning to rankle the singer. In the interview he says “I felt like we were rammed down the British public’s throats for so long I really think we need a long period of time away.”
