The Knife are best known for ‘Heartbeats’, their classic track that was reworked by Jose Gonzalez into TV advert heaven. The album will be titled ‘Fever Ray’ and will be available on March 23rd, a week after the release of the digital single ‘If I Had A Heart’.

In a blog posting the Scandinavian singer wrote “I had so many songs to record that I just had to make an album,” she revealed.

“My aim was to finish the album and now that it’s done I’m a bit restless. During the last few years I discovered that I like to sing too, so I hope that my newly-found live band will make it to the stages next year. We are rehearsing and building something beautiful and brilliant.”

The Knife are currently working on a new opera inspired by the life of Charles Darwin.

Karin Dreijer Andersson will release ‘Fever Ray’ on March 23rd.
