Legendary duo emerge once more...
The KLF

The KLF – Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty – are set to release new material as Justified Ancients of Mu Mu later this year.

The legendary pair brought art terrorism to the charts in the late 80s and early 90s, matching art theory to tracks that were bold and brilliantly daft.

Operating under a number of pseudonyms – The KLF, The K Foundations, The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu – the duo shuddered to a halt in 1994 after officially disbanding and then burning a million quid on a remote Scottish island.

A clip emerged recently on Vimeo, which fans took to be a sign of the pair’s reformation.

As it happens, the video had nothing to do with them – it was seemingly compiled by an unrelated author to illustrate a talk about their works – but The KLF will be reforming.

Eastfolk Chronicle – run by Bill Drummond’s manager – uncovered a bill poster in East London containing the news…

So: roll on August 23rd.
