The Jesus & Mary Chain have kicked off work on their new album.
The noise rock pioneers returned in 2017, with new studio album 'Damage And Joy' winning critical acclaim.
Seeming to locate the fire in their bellies, the Reid brothers are now intent on producing a follow up as quickly as possible.
The band are about to head out on tour in North America with Nine Inch Nails, with singer Jim Reid revealing their studio plans to Consequence of Sound.
“We’re thinking of doing a new album soon after this tour,” he said. “I reckon that will be the next thing we do.”
“We work best with a deadline because we are the laziest people you can imagine,” he continued. The singer also revealed that the new LP will be “mostly new” but there might also be “some songs we’ve had knocking about for awhile.”
