The Itch Debut With Exhilarating Single ‘Ursula’

A heavy, sci-fi fuelled trip...

London project The Itch make their official debut with new single ‘Ursula’.

The project hinges on two friends – Georgia Hardy and Simon Tyrie – but often incorporates other voices. Initial shows around London have already garnered word of mouth hype, merging other-worldly songwriting with twinkling, glo-fi electronics.

Set to play London venue the Social on April 10th, The Itch have now unveiled their eagerly awaited debut single.

Amid the expectation and exposure, ‘Ursula’ stands as something singular – a seven-minute leviathan, it’s a cellular piece of songwriting, each chapter connecting to the next as The Itch aim to construct something coherent.

The sparkling electronics have an analogue feel, while the music – for all its terrific, extra-sensory reach – rains some DIY aspects. The title should be taken literally, too, with The Itch paying homage to Ursula K. Le Guin, in particular her 1974 novel The Dispossessed.

Tune in now.
