The Howlers Share Desert Rock Burner ‘The Boy I Was Before’

"Holding onto the dreams we have as kids..."

The Howlers have shared new single ‘The Boy I Was Before’.

The East London trio have a raucous sound, with their desert rock debauchery smashing its way through venues across the land. Incoming EP ‘Further Down The Line’ lands on October 5th, and the three-piece have just dropped a heavyweight preview.

New single ‘The Boy I Was Before’ grapples with innocence, throwing off the cynicism of modern life to dig into the pure inspiration childhood can offer. In the words of vital frontman Adam Young, it’s about “growing up in a world that is stacked against you and holding onto the dreams we have as kids…”

The video is out now, and it brings these themes into the full light of day. Adam Young continues…

“Growing up in the world we did, in the areas we cut our teeth, everything is stacked against you, but your loved ones shield you from the reality’s of the world around you. So as kids you tend to see the world through the rose tinted specs of youth. We really wanted to reflect these little moments so we asked our families to dig out our childhood videos and photos for this track, not only to really hit home what the song is about but also to show them how thankful we are for that love.”

Tune in now.
