The Horrors have shared new song ‘Trial By Fire’.
The band are back, with an overhauled line-up and a new album. Out on March 21st, ‘Night Life’ was teased with some tiny live shows, including the Shacklewell Arms’ 20th birthday party.
Set to be released on Fiction Records, ‘Night Life’ presents a new chapter for the band, while also tapping into their foundations.
With Hallowe’en now upon us, The Horrors have just shared a sizzling new track. ‘Trial By Fire’ is goth rock in extremis, merging the industrial sound of their previous work with some fresh ideas.
Black-hewn sonics held together by Faris Badwan’s theatrical gravitas, ‘Trial By Fire’ finds The Horrors with an inferno in their soul.
“’Trial By Fire’ is one of the more aggressive songs on ‘Night Life’, bridging the gap between our two industrial EPs and the new album,” explain the band; “Rhys began the demo in Southend isolation, before we got together and twisted it into something meaner. It’s about the curses that follow you through your life. For The Horrors, every day is Halloween.”
Tune in now.
