The Heavy Return With New Album

'The Glorious Dead' due on August 20th

The Heavy are set to release their new album ‘The Glorious Dead’ through Counter on August 20th.

High powered retro-soul, The Heavy seemed to smash through to public attention with their second album ‘The House That Dirt Built’. Pushing the band into a world tour, the English group found widespread success in the United States.

Taking time off the road to complete a new album, The Heavy will return this summer. ‘The Glorious Dead’ is due to be released on August 20th, and promises to be more passionate, fevered funky soul.

A press quote from Swaby: “?It’?s our third record, which is when you?re judged if you?re here to stay, or sliding off the face of the earth. We want to stick around, so we took our balls out and went for it.? ?I love what we?ve done”.

“?We got our deadpan heartbreak down. This record suggests how we continue to walk among the dead ? now just in a few more places, and with more of a swagger”.?
