Tri-Angle artist to produce new album...
The Haxan Cloak

Sometimes, the most unexpected of collaborations are in reality the most perfectly pitched.

The Haxan Cloak is - essentially - an electronic artist, working with label du jour Tri-Angle. Debut album 'Excavation' was an explosion fusion of noise and texture, an imposing listen to all but the most disciplined.

The Body, meanwhile, are a two-piece doom metal act from Portland, Oregon. In a new move, The Haxan Cloak is set to step in and produce the pair's new album, the follow up to the cheerily titled 'I Shall Die Here'.

Unexpected? Perhaps, yet with their similar outlooks and shared intensity, the two acts are almost perfect bedfellows.

The results are due to be released on April 1st via RVNG International, with The Body promising "the tried and true sound of The Body cut to pieces, mutilated by process and re-animated in a spectral state by the newly minted partnership."

A taster from the album titled 'Hail To Thee, Everlasting Pain' has gone online.
