The Greeting Committee’s ‘Can I Leave Me Too?’ Is Hazy, Yet Radiant

Post-break up poignance, cloaked in indie pop reverb...

The Greeting Committee have released a hazy yet radiant new single, ‘Can I Leave Me Too?’ on Harvest Records alongside an accompanying music video, co-directed by Malik Lemonthe and frontwoman Addie Sartino.

Produced by Jennifer Decilveo and mixed by Dave Friddman, the track is a raw portrayal of post-break up poignance, cloaked in indie pop reverb. Lyrically honest, Addie Sartino’s gift for song writing is on full display.

On the track, Sartino shared…

“My girlfriend drives a Nissan Rogue, and after we broke up I felt like I couldn’t go anywhere without seeing that car, I remember thinking, ‘There’s no way there are this many Nissan Rogues in Kansas City’ — but I think that’s a pretty universal thing to have happen when you’re going through a breakup.”

The music video features Sartino performing mundane tasks, with some enchanting close-ups, including brushing her teeth as she wanders a silent world.
