The Good Mixer Is Staying Open

And it's had a refurbishment...

Infamous Camden boozer The Good Mixer is set to stay open following a refubishment.

The North London landmark recently changed hands, sparking speculation that it might be about to shut its doors.

Thankfully, the new owners have grabbed hold of the pub's history, and decided on a refurbishment rather than closure.

The pub will now have an interior that reflects its 1950s origins, while boasting a free jukebox and a resident pianist.

A two-roomed Irish bar, The Good Mixer was essentially ground zero for Britpop – Blur used to drink there, Elastica were signed there, and Menswe@r formed there.

To good health!
