The project is led by Benjamin Woods, a unique songwriter whose dextrous word play is matched to hard-won experience. New album ‘On Grace & Dignity’ is out on February 10th, prompted by the landscapes and people of Truro.
New song ‘Vista’ is online now, and it seems to sit in a world of its own; the nimble guitar lines moving to the heavens, and Woods’ sombre delivery carrying a hushed sense of beauty.
Lyrically, he was inspired by the Graham Green short story The Destructors; setting the scenes, Woods imagines a group of adolescent boys burning down a house, “for no reason than to see the burning world.”
A superb track, the GOLDEN DREGS will bring it to life this week at a string of in-stores around the country.
