New Jersey blue collar rockers The Gaslight Anthem are streaming a track from their forthcoming album.
Hailing from New Jersey, The Gaslight Anthem are part of a new breed of groups who mix punk’s fury with a love of Americana. Dubbed ‘The Jersey Sound’ the band have gained an unlikely supporter.
Often compared to Bruce Springsteen, The Gaslight Anthem gained support from The Boss himself. Taken on tour across Europe, the band’s second album ‘The 59 Sound’ became a word of mouth hit.
Taking time off to work on their third album, The Gaslight Anthem are now set to return. Titled ‘American Slang’ the group’s new studio effort is due for release on June 14th with fans eager to hear the material.
Previewing the album one track at a time, The Gaslight Anthem have streamed ‘Boxer’ on their official MySpace page. A blustering anthem, it retains the band’s familiar sound but adds some crisp and new.
In addition to this, The Gaslight Anthem have released footage of the band at work in the studio. Spread over three parts, it shows the New Jersey group hard at work perfecting their new material.
