ClashMusic grabs an exclusive first view!

Sunderland punk-funk tykes The Futureheads have given ClashMusic an exclusive first glimpse of their new album artwork!

The Futureheads have enjoyed a new lease of life since leaving 679 Recordings. Retreating to their hometown of Sunderland the band set up camp in their rehearsal room, building a home studio.

Releasing their third album 'This Is Not The World' on their own Nul imprint, The Futureheads seemed to relish the freedom afforded to them.

Touring heavily, the band are on such inspired form that they have found time to record their new album already. The Futureheads have confirmed details of their new album, which they have titled 'The Chaos'.

Apparently inspired by recent political events, the new album sees The Futureheads take aim at corrupt politicians and greedy bankers. However the Sunderland group haven't lost their sense of fun, with 'The Chaos' being a potential party favourite.

With new tracks already going down a storm at gigs, The Futureheads have firmed up plans to release their new album. Comeback single 'Struck Dumb' was released last year with parent album 'The Chaos' due to be released on April 26th.

Coming out on the band's own Nul Records label, the album is set to get an airing on the group's forthcoming tour. The Futureheads have given ClashMusic a sneaky glimpse of their album artwork.

Featuring a globe torn in different directions, The Futureheads have chosen a suitably eye catching design for their soon to be released new album.

The Futureheads are to release 'The Chaos' on April 26th.
