The Flaming Lips has revealed that their proposed collaboration with Ke$ha has been cancelled.
The Flaming Lips like to throw fans the odd curveball or twelve. Almost continually working on outlandish schemes, the Oklahoma band recently revealed plans for a collaboration with Ke$ha.
The two acts have developed an odd if intimate relationship, with Wayne Coyne making a guest appearance on Ke$ha's album 'Warrior'.
Earlier this year Wayne Coyne held a Reddit AMA session, and revealed his admiration for Ke$ha's work. "She is a blast on all levels. She's funny, she's humble. She's badass. She's everything. She's awesome. We're actually already working on an album with her. It's called Lip$ha."
Plotting a full collaborative album, Wayne Coyne told fans via Twitter that the sessions have been scrapped.
As of now …sadly there will be no Lip$ha…. I can't say why… It is sad… pic.twitter.com/sdAP8bLXDn
