Legendary 70s rockers The Faces are working on new music, it seems The band's early 70s run resulted in some iconic singles, before frontman Rod Stewart departed to focus on his solo career.
Since then reformations have been sporadic, with Rod Stewart said to be the hold out. Now it seems that the singer's attitude has warmed, with guitarist Ronnie Wood spilling the beans to The Times.
As picked up by Music Week, he spoke about working with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger on new music, alongside potential new music from The Faces.
Speaking to The Times, and reported by Music News, guitarist Ronnie Wood said he met up with Rod Stewart and Kenney Jones recently, in addition to catching up with Mick Jagger for a separate project.
“I saw Mick [Jagger] here last week and Rod [Stewart] and Kenney [Jones] were here yesterday,” he said. “Me and Mick have done nine new tracks for the [40th anniversary] re-release of ‘Tattoo You’.”
Ronnie Wood added: “And me, Rod and Kenney have been recording some new Faces music. I’ve had a front-row seat on some amazing rock’n’roll projects these past couple of weeks.”
