The Drums Line Up New Single

'Days' due on February 27th

The Drums are set to release recent album cut ‘Days’ as a single on February 27th.

Exhausted from touring and with their line up fragmenting, The Drums opted to head straight back into the studio. Released last year, second album ‘Portamento’ was the sound of a band in transition, facing new possibilities but yet to analyse where they might be progressing.

A tad under-rated, ‘Portamento’ has spawned several golden singles. Returning to the UK for a number of shows, The Drums have decided to give ‘Days’ a standalone release.

Out on February 27th, frontman Jonny Pierce recently paused to reflect on the feelings behind the song. “When I wrote and recorded it I thought it might be just another heartbreak song, but when I listened back to it I saw it was more than that. It was a reaction to years of trying to make things work one way and then having a breakthrough and realizing sometimes you have to start over completely from scratch to be at peace with yourself.“
