Hotly tipped psychedelic folk duo The Dodos are set for a flight to the UK, after confirming an extensive tour for September ahead of the release of debut album “Visiter”.
The group are signed to Wichita in this country, and have been causing a stir amongst the musical cognoscenti. Named by Les Savy Fav as the best band to ever support them – praise indeed – The Dodos are set for a busy visit to these shores with a headline show planned at London’s 100 Club, amongst other delights.
Live, the duo play with two drummers alongside them, making for a live show that is intense, as well as intensely beautiful. The Dodos’ debut single in this country will be “Red And Purple”, and features a lilting folk melody matched to pounding African drums. Parent album “Visiter” will follow in July.
