The Darkness Share Glam Stomper ‘I Hate Myself’

They set off on a festive run this week...

The Darkness have shared their new single ‘I Hate Myself’ in full.

The much-loved UK rock gurus are back on the march, playing a string of Rough Trade in-stores this week in London, Nottingham, and Liverpool.

The band will pull out all the stops, ahead of new album ‘Dreams On Toast’ – which lands on March 28th – and its subsequent nationwide headline tour.

Out now, ‘I Hate Myself’ is a full-on glam stomper, merging the pummelling sonic assault of Motorhead, say, with the sass of Marc Bolan in the process.

A preening piece of self-deprecating rock music, the tongue-in-cheek humour is coupled of the band’s undeniable chops.

Justin Hawkins says…

At last, a joyous, raucous celebration of self-loathing. I think without regrets we stand to learn less from our experiences – to deny them and compartmentalise them is to deny ourselves an opportunity to grow. So, it’s time for us to sing this uplifting ode to remorse in the hope that we don’t make the same mistakes again and history does not repeat itself.”

Tune in now.
