It's ten years since 'Permission To Land' impacted upon the nation's cranium but The Darkness are showing no signs of growing old gracefully.
Heading to Ireland to focus on fresh material, the band have completed another riff-laden missive.
Due out on June 1st via Kobalt Label Services, new album 'Last Of Our Kind' features the drumming skills of Emily Dolan Davies.
New track 'Barbarian' is online now. Sayeth Justin Hawkins: “not one but two dramatic monologues, a guitar solo that has been declared 'irresponsible', a riff that weakens lady-knees and a chorus that makes grown men shit directly into their pants... The lyrics describe the Viking invasion of East Anglia which culminated in the decapitation of Edmund the Martyr. So yeah, classic Darkness.”
