Psychedelic scousers The Coral are offering fans a free preview of their long awaited new album.
The Coral burst out of Hoylake in the summer of 2002, with songs which seemed to contain more ideas than some bands careers. Later settling down into crafting sublime indie pop, the band took time off after their 2007 album ‘Roots And Echoes’.
Compiling their single releases onto one handy compilation, ‘The Singles Collection’ reminded us all just how potent a musical force the band could be.
Retreating to work on new material, The Coral confirmed details of a new album earlier this year. ‘Butterfly House’ is set to be released on July 12th, with fans desperate to hear new material from the Liverpool group.
The band themselves have kept new material under wraps, with the single ‘1000 Years’ set to premiere shortly.
However in a new move The Coral have decided to give fans the title track to their new album for free. Available as a new download ‘Butterfly House’ is a lilting acoustic lament, typical of the band’s breezy summer style.

Meanwhile, The Coral have confirmed a series of headline shows and festival appearances. The band are due to perform at T In The Park, Latitude, Kendal Calling and more alongside a host of tour dates.
