A pop up shop devoted to The Clash is set to open in London next month.
One of the most influential British groups to emerge from the punk explosion, the legacy of The Clash can be felt almost everywhere. First defining then transcending the punk template, the band's long, hazy adventure – from punk purists to dub technicians and hip hop innovators – remains an inspiration.
To coincide with the release of 'The Clash Hits Back' and the 'Sound System' box set, a new pop up shop devoted to the band is set to open in London.
Appropriately titled 'Black Market Clash' the shop will be situated on Berwick Street in Soho, on what has often been termed the 'vinyl mile'.
Split into three sections, the ground floor will contain rare memorabilia from the band's own collection, while the first floor contains exclusive merchandise. Alongside this, a partnership with Fender finds fans able to take part in 'Plug & Play demo stations' and exclusive master classes themed on the band's work.
Places will be limited to 10 people per session – for more information click HERE.
'Black Market Clash' launches with a special event on September 6th, before opening to the public between September 7th – 22nd.
