The Cavemen and Show Dem Camp unite on powerful new album ‘No Love In Lagos’.
The two parties are exceptional in their own field, with The Cavemen taking the sounds of 21st century highlife to the world. Show Dem Camp have a distinct energy, and this collaboration is a neat fusion of dual voices, with Nsikak David acting as the glue between them.
A flurry of singles have exhibited their collaborative flair, drawing the likes of Obongjayar, Tim Lyre, Moelogo and Ruti into the musicians’ world.
Out now in full, ‘No Love In Lagos’ is built for summer use – refreshing, intoxicating songwriting, the crisp production gives just the right amount of bounce to the song craft.
In a note, Tec from Show Dem Camp shares…
“I think collaboration is very important for the Afrobeats scene; finding people who you align with musically, or even those that you don’t align with, can move your music into a different space. I think for all types of afrobeats artists it’s very interesting to see what collaboration looks like.”
Tune in now.
The Cavemen will hit We Out Here Festival on August 15th, before flying to New York for Palm Wine Festival on August 17th.
