The Automatic Return

"Monster" Single Due

Love them or hate them The Automatic are set to return soon with new single “Steve McQueen”, the first to be released from their new album.

The Automatic are set to return with their new album, it has been announced. The Welsh group rose to fame on the back of their hit single “Monster”, which became a massive terracing anthem across the nation. However, all has not been well in the band’s camp with keyboard player Alex Pennie decided to leave the group.

After drafting in former yourcodenameis:milo frontman Paul Mullen, the band decided to continue and second album “This Is A Fix” is due to be released on August 25th.

The Automatic have balanced chart positions with critical derision, forming feuds with such groups as The Horrors, as well as suffering criticism from acts such as Bloc party and Babyshambles. However, all this has cemented their status amongst their fan base at unlikely anti-heroes flicking the bird at art-school know it alls.

The Automatic’s new single “Steve McQueen” will be released on August 18th, with the parent album “This Is A Fix” due on August 25th.
