The Armed have shared new song ‘Liar 2’.
The band’s new album ‘Perfect Saviors’ lands on August 25th, and it’s shaping up to be pretty special. Replete with a glittering guest cast, The Armed pursue their own vision, a feral mixture of quietLOUD guitars and subtle pop aspects.
New single ‘Liar 2’ is an outrageous return, all cliff-face drops and sledgehammer riffs. Yet there’s also a dance-able aspect, with The Armed tracing a juxtaposition of light and shade in their work.
Tony Wolski, the vocalist of the band, comments:
“We tend to be drawn to juxtaposition and trying to make disparate things fit in new ways to discover some novel aesthetic resonance or emotional response. Some push and pull. This is a dancey, happy track about being in the deepest pits of despair and giving way to lies and delusion as your only means of survival. It is a chocolate cake full of broken glass—the sonics of the track itself, seemingly in denial of the lyrical content.”
