Tennis are set to release their second album ‘Young and Old’ through Fat Possum in February.
Released earlier this year, Tennis’ debut album ‘Cape Dory’ was an irresistible slice of indie songcraft. Composed on a boat in the South Pacific, the album’s back story was as evocative as the perfect pop shades of their music.
Now the band have outlined plans for a follow up, a mere 12 months after the release of their debut. Tennis headed down to Nashville this summer to work on their second album with The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney.
“I am really proud to say I worked on the new Tennis album” explained Carney. “I think they are a really talented band, and it’s exciting to work with a band who is trying to move forward. Patrick, Alaina and James have great ideas — everything really comes together on this record.”
Fat Possum will handle the release of ‘Young & Old’ with Tennis set to release their second album on February 14th. Ahead of the new record, the band will release new single ‘Origin’ on limited edition blue 7” vinyl on December 6th via Forest Family Records.
