UK psych-pop group Temples will release a new rarities EP later this year.
The incoming EP harks back to their debut, with 2014’s ‘Sun Structures’ smashing its way into the charts. Spawning a raft of fan favourite singles, the record propelled Temples into a decade of touring, and music-making.
A look back is in order, with Temples set to share new six-track ‘Other Structures’ EP on October 4th. Sifting through the archives, the band have gathered four unreleased songs, and two remixes – ‘Shelter Song’ is reworked by Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno, and Robert Leven Been aka Robert Turner of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
New song ‘Days Of Conquest’ blurs a strutting glam rock beat with some lysergic effects, resulting in something otherworldly, but with plenty of heft.
James Bagshaw comments…
‘Day Of Conquest’ was part of the Sun Structures album demos, it probably would have been on the album but we ran out of run time on the LP. I remember being fond of this song, and it was a pleasant surprise to go back and unearth the sonic layering. I love how the sections contrast in an interesting way, and the fact there isn’t really a chorus.’
Tune in now.
