Born in Australia but now based in East London, TEMPESST revolved around a set of twin brothers.
The close biological bond between the two has led to some supremely confident musical manoeuvres, with opening singles 'Tidal Wave' and 'Too Slow' causing a stir online.
Without a second to waste, though, TEMPESST are back. New cut 'Broke Down Blues' isn't quite the 12 bar routine the title would suggest, instead pilfering the blues' ability to transcendent the shackles of the mundance.
It's a soaring piece of songwriting, blessed with sky-high ambition. “It’s an ode of sorts,” explains vocalist Toma Banjanin. “It’s meant to feel more liberated and triumphant than a whining, entitled artist crying about not having any money. It doesn't represent breaking point, it's celebrating what's already broken.”
