Tarquin Harks Back To The Early Grime Instrumental With ‘Foxtown’

We're premiering the B-side on Mr Mitch's Gobstopper imprint...

Known for his blistering 8-bar edits, souped up R&B and wildly imaginative grime-leaning productions, London producer Tarquin has been dropping instrumental bombs on us at a steady rate.

Having recently unveiled an EP on Rinse that saw him chopping up Aaliyah, he's returning to Mr. Mitch's Gobstopper Records (following the brilliant 'Kid U') for a two-tracked 12", 'Grease/Foxtown'.

B-side 'Foxtown', which we're premiering now, wraps an orchestral flute line around menacing synth stabs that hark back to early grime production, always with that sense of playfulness that Tarquin's become known for.

Check it out below.

Gobstopper Records release 'Grease/Foxtown' on May 5th, on vinyl and digital.
