Berlin-based artist Tara Nome Doyle has shared new single ‘Heaven In Disguise’.
The Irish-Norwegian songwriter will return this Spring, with new album ‘Ekko’ set to land on April 11th via Fat Cat Records. Built alongside Grammy Award winning producer Simon Goff, the record cross references Greek myth to explore a song cycle rooted in personal growth.
As she puts it…
“With this album, I wanted to strip away those layers of doubt and rediscover my true voice. It’s about reconnecting with myself and creating music that feels honest, otherworldly, and cathartic. Not mirroring what other people want to see, but what I need to show them.”
Beautiful new song ‘Heaven In Disguise’ relies on an extended pun – it doubles down on the theme of personal development, with Tara’s wry sense of humour helping to bring her mission of growth out into the light.
Tara says, “as a writer I enjoy the double entendre that “heaven in disguise” can also be heard as “heaven in the skies” (especially with an Irish pronunciation), further highlighting the development of going from an idealised, externalised faith (heaven in the skies) to recognising that true salvation lies internally (heaven in disguise)”
Tune in now.
